Watch Patrick Stewart's Macbeth in its Entirety

Macbeth. Dir. Rupert Goold. Perf. Patrick Stewart, Kate Fleetwood, Scott Handy, and Michael Feast. 2010. PBS. 6 October 2010.

Great Performances and PBS Video are now streaming Patrick Stewart's Macbeth in its entirety.

Here's where you can get a head start on Bardfilm: I haven't had a chance to watch it yet (I've just seen the first five minutes), but you can watch the whole thing. Start with chapter one (embedded below) and then head to PBS Video to see the rest. Be cautioned: this is a violent and bloody production.

Watch the full episode. See more Great Performances.

Bardfilm is normally written as one word, though it can also be found under a search for "Bard Film Blog." Bardfilm is a Shakespeare blog (admittedly, one of many Shakespeare blogs), and it is dedicated to commentary on films (Shakespeare movies, The Shakespeare Movie, Shakespeare on television, Shakespeare at the cinema), plays, and other matter related to Shakespeare (allusions to Shakespeare in pop culture, quotes from Shakespeare in popular culture, quotations that come from Shakespeare, et cetera).

Unless otherwise indicated, quotations from Shakespeare's works are from the following edition:
Shakespeare, William. The Riverside Shakespeare. 2nd ed. Gen. ed. G. Blakemore Evans. Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1997.
